1510 Welburn Avenue, Gilroy

Gilroy
THE HOME

1510 Welburn Avenue sits in a car-dependent Gilroy neighborhood where single-family homes predominate and open space remains close at hand. Rainbow Park and Los Arroyos Park anchor the immediate surroundings, offering green relief and recreation within a short drive. The address places residents a half-mile from Luigi Aprea Elementary School and less than a mile from Solorsano Middle School, a configuration that appeals to households seeking public-school proximity. Gilroy's positioning at the southern end of the Santa Clara Valley affords both agricultural heritage and commuter reach, though distance and travel time shape the rhythm of daily life here.

THE NEIGHBORHOOD

Gilroy retains its agrarian roots while serving as a bedroom community for the greater Bay Area. The walk score of 36 reflects the car-oriented layout; errands and amenities—Safeway for groceries, Starbucks and AnNam Bistro for coffee, Ten Japan for dinner—require a short drive. Downtown San Jose lies 40 minutes away by car, Stanford University 54 minutes, and San Francisco International Airport approximately 1 hour 15 minutes. The rhythm here favors those who drive, with schools, parks, and shopping distributed across a low-density grid. Del Rey Park and Gilroy Gateway Park extend the network of public open space beyond the immediate blocks.

ABOUT LISA
Lisa Stringfellow
Lisa Stringfellow
REALTOR®  ·  DRE #01895863

I’m Lisa Stringfellow, and I’ve proudly called Gilroy home since 1987. Originally from the East Coast, I put down roots here and never looked back, raising three children, welcoming four grandchildren (with one more on the way), and becoming deeply woven into the fabric of this community.

Over the years, I’ve stayed actively involved in what makes Gilroy special. I served as President of the Gilroy Exchange Club, an organization dedicated to inspiring communities to become better places to live, supported local business as an active member of the Chamber of Commerce, and served on the public arts committee, driving the project that brought Gilroy’s downtown historical sculptures to life. Gilroy isn’t just where I live. It’s a community I’ve helped build.

When I’m not working, you’ll find me catching live music and enjoying food trucks at our local wineries, or meeting friends at a favorite coffee shop. I love walking and hiking the trails that wind through South County. And one of the best-kept secrets of living here? We’re just over the hill from the stunning coastline of Watsonville, Aptos, and Santa Cruz and a short drive in the other direction puts you in Monterey and Carmel.
