306 Scenic Dr La Honda Ca, 94062

Redwood City
THE HOME

306 Scenic Drive sits in the forested enclave of La Honda, part of Redwood City's unincorporated reaches in the Santa Cruz Mountains. The address places the home along a winding corridor where Douglas fir and redwood canopy frame the roadway, and neighboring parcels often stretch across multiple acres. The La Honda community is characterized by single-family homes on wooded lots, many accessed via private drives. Properties here typically reflect a mix of mid-century construction and more recent builds, with square footages that favor functional floor plans over grand scale. The surrounding terrain offers elevation changes, creekside settings, and views filtered through mature forest.

THE NEIGHBORHOOD

La Honda is a car-dependent mountain community with a Walk Score of 4, where daily errands require a vehicle and the nearest commercial services center on a handful of local establishments. Apple Jack's Bar and Cast Iron Carnivor Kitchen serve as gathering points along La Honda Road, while the La Honda Store State Historic Landmark marks the area's logging and ranching heritage. Commutes reflect the mountain geography: Stanford University is 32 minutes by car, San Francisco International Airport 49 minutes, and Downtown San Francisco 1 hour 18 minutes. La Honda Elementary School, rated 9 out of 10 by GreatSchools, lies less than a mile away and serves grades K through 5.

WORTH KNOWING
  • La Honda sits within the San Mateo County coastal zone, where development is governed by stricter permitting and environmental review than elsewhere on the Peninsula.
  • Corte Madera School, a public option for grades 4–8 rated 10 out of 10 by GreatSchools, is 4.6 miles from the property and draws families from across the mountain corridor.
  • Fire safety protocols are active in this area; many properties maintain defensible space clearances, and seasonal road closures can occur during extreme weather events.

ABOUT NILOU

Nilou Ebeid
REALTOR® | Silicon Valley  ·  DRE #02067198

As a longtime resident of Los Altos Hills, I have had the privilege of raising my children and watching them grow through Palo Alto public schools, and later at Woodside Priorya private school in Portola Valley. Our family has loved the peaceful and calmness of the hills, the hiking trails, and its close proximity to Silicon Valley and San Francisco.

Through the years, I’ve navigated our community extensively, driving my kids to activities across neighboring towns for various activities which has given me extensive knowledge and familiarity in Atherton, Menlo Park, Palo Alto, Portola Valley and Los Altos and beyond. This experience has given me an intimate knowledge of the area and a deep appreciation for the vibrant lifestyle it offers.

Some of my favorite local spots include Los Altos Grill or Evvia for a night out, Satura or Mademoiselle Colette for a morning coffee and croissant, and Terun for a lunch meet up. For fitness, I love the small, intense classes at barre3 or MPX Pilates, and for outdoor relaxation, I enjoy a quick hike at Arastradero Preserve. When it comes to self-care, No Filter Brazilian MedSpa in San Mateo is a personal favorite.
